And now on to our exhaustive list of all the Ubud waterfalls we know of.

Tegal Sepih waterfall

Tegal sepih waterfall is another waterfall on the Eastern side of Ubud. The cost to get in is 20k rupiah and the waterfall is accessible down some stairs. This is another artificial waterfall but it forms a beautiful cascade.

Air Terjun Waterfall Jemeng

Air Terjun Waterfall Jemeng is on the Northeast outskirts of the Ubud area. This waterfall iis more about the area rather than the waterfall itself as the waterfall is pretty but small. The main draw here is the excellent natural swimming pool overlooking the river. Also the river is nice and cool to explore.

Tibumana Waterfall

If I had to describe Tibumana Waterfall in one word I would say “classic”. It’s a waterfall with the water projecting out and free-falling a great distance, finally plunging into the pool below. Entrance is 20k rupiah and this place provides bathrooms and changing areas. It is now becoming more popular with the tourists as it is very picturesque, serene and a good place to swim. Up at the parking area there are an assortment of local restaurants if you are looking for lunch.

Pengempu Waterfall

Pengempu waterfall is another small Ubud waterfall located in the same area as Air Teju above. Again the waterfall itself, while pretty, is not spectacular. The good thing is that there are minimal crowds and you will likely have the place to yourself.

Taman Beji Griya Waterfall

There is a love/hate relationship with Taman Beji Griya Waterfall. Some love it and some say it’s a tourist trap. Why the polarity of opinions on this Ubud waterfall? Well, it really comes down to the entry price which is 300k rupiah. This is extremely high for a waterfall but the operation also gives you something for your money. You will get access to the waterfall and good facilities, a sarong for going to the temple, and a guide to explain the cultural significance of the area. If that seems like a good deal to you then this may be the Ubud waterfall for you.

Uma Anyar Waterfall

Uma Anyar Waterfall is located on the Eastern part of Ubud and is really nice. There is an entry fee of 15k rupiah. There are also local guides there offering their services.. Prices for the guides are negotiable. This waterfall area provides bathrooms and some places to chill out. The waterfall is village-managed with various families taking turns operating the area. Everyone here seems very friendly and helpful. The waterfalls are beautiful and there is a decent swimming area. If you’re lucky you may even see some monkeys chilling in the trees.

Tegenungan Waterfall

Tegenungan Waterfall is Ubud’s biggest and most popular waterfall. This waterfall dumps massive amounts of water into the pool below and can be quite spectacular. The area itself is also quite developed with bathrooms, a walking bridge, and areas to chill out. This is where the criticism of this waterfall comes in because it’s also Ubud’s most crowded waterfall. There are also day clubs with swimming pools and restaurants all around the waterfall. Often they are pumping competing music out which can really ruin any serene vibe one might have been hoping for.

Entry is 15k rupiah and is used to maintain the area. My thoughts are that even with some of its drawbacks, Tegenungan Waterfall will continue to be one of Ubud’s most popular.

Ubud’s Suwat Waterfall

Ubud’s Suwat Waterfall is quite popular and easy to get to, though it is still not overrun by tourists. The locals there are friendly and are building a cafe near the water. Entrance fee is 25k rupiah. Suwat Waterfall is really beautiful and there is a deep pool that you can jump into and swim. Great photos are to be had and it is a relaxing environment.

Abangan waterfall

Abangan waterfall is a brand new waterfall. Not the waterfall itself, but access to it! A group of local families has established management of this area in order to give guests access to their beautiful waterfall. There is a bit of a trek (15 minutes) to get down to the falls and I recommend taking some rests on the steep way back up. Actually the walk down can be as impressive as the waterfall itself as you walk through rice fields and the backside of a local village. Entrance here is 20k rupiah.

Goa Rang Reng Waterfall

Goa Rang Reng Waterfall is a spectacular, slowly cascading waterfall with a shallow pool and river at the bottom. At the top there are also pools to soak in. Entrance here is 20k rupiah and local guides are usually available. After a bit of a steep walk down, you will see that this waterfall was worth the trip and offers lots of different angles for great photos. This waterfall is worth the trip out to the Eastern part of Ubud.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Kanto Lampo Waterfall is a very impressive cascading waterfall. It really is a sight to behold as the waters slide down the rocky face ending in a pool below. There is even a small coffee shop here that you can sit and enjoy the falls from. There are some great photo ops here though if the waterfall is really busy you may be waiting awhile.

There are changing rooms here and entrance is 20k rupiah per person.

Waterfall Bangkiang Djaran

Waterfall Bangkiang Djaran is not really in even the Ubud area but you might drive there from Ubud so we have included it. One thing about this waterfall is that the flow will very much depend on recent rainfall. If there has been a recent rain you will be rewarded with a wonderful view. If it’s the dry season then maybe not so much. Entrance is 10k rupiah and there is a bit of a walk to get to the falls.

Air Terjun Kuning

Air Terjun Kuning is also quite a ways outside of Ubud but drivable. It is a beautiful waterfall of a spectacular height. At the bottom of the falls and dotted along the river are nice pools to bathe and relax in.

This waterfall takes some effort to get to as it’s 300 stairs each way. You will likely be rewarded with the waterfall to yourself. Entry is 10k and there are some restaurants and rest areas up near the parking area.

Aan Secret Waterfall

Again, outside of Ubud, is Aan Secret Waterfall. Talk about old school bali waterfall hunting vibes…this place is it. There is a path down to the canyon floor and then a trek up the canyon to get to it. It’s adventurous but doable. At the end there is a little bridge that takes you right to the foot of the waterfall.

The waterfall itself, while not Ubud’s biggest, is very beautiful and you will likely find yourself alone there.

Goa Giri Campuhan waterfall

Goa Giri Campuhan waterfall is a cascading waterfall. It is great for taking photos because you can get right into the waterfall itself without any danger. The trek to the falls is cool as well as you walk about 15 minutes through rice fields as well as a path winding through small caverns. Since it’s a ways outside of Ubud you shouldn’t encounter much of a crowd.

Goa Raja Waterfall

Goa Raja Waterfall is an amazing place with two waterfalls plunging into the pool below. The Swimming area is part natural part man-made and is really special. It’s a short hike to get to the falls and there are changing rooms there. Entry is 20k per person.

Manuaba Waterfall

Manuaba Waterfall is another one on the West side of Ubud. While not spectacular it is still worth a visit as it is clean and well maintained by the local village. There is a good path to the waterfall and informative signs. You can even get some cool drinks here. They ask for a donation of around 20k. Give it a look!
